How a small Copenhagen studio became a trusted name in fresh floristry
Bloom Copenhagen started in 2019 when our founder, tired of receiving wilted flowers from online services, decided to source directly from growers. What began as personal orders for friends grew into a small studio serving the local community.
Today we work with twelve partner growers across Zealand and Funen. We never stock flowers—every stem is ordered fresh and arranged within hours of delivery. This model limits our daily capacity, but it means quality we can stand behind.
We measure flower quality in hours, not days. Our supply chain is designed around speed rather than storage.
Danish and Scandinavian growers when possible. Shorter distances mean fresher flowers and lower environmental impact.
Every arrangement is composed by a named florist who considers the occasion and recipient's preferences.
If a specific flower is unavailable, we tell you. If delivery timing is tight, we say so. No surprises.
Sustainability in floristry is complicated. Flowers are a luxury product, and any honest assessment acknowledges the resources involved in growing and transporting them.
We focus on practical improvements: prioritising Scandinavian growers to reduce air freight, using recycled and recyclable packaging, composting all green waste, and offering a vase return programme for regular customers.
We do not claim to be carbon neutral. We aim to be better than the industry standard while acknowledging there is always more to improve.
